+Andy Snaden, thanks. Since I use a smartphone, I find it difficult to post blogs in Vivaldi ( my user name. there is “bhau”). Until august 2014 I somehow managed some posts but then I couldn’t. You see, when you click for writing a new post in Vivaldi the page that opens does not have the box where you type! Everything else is there! until…[Read more]

+Andy Snaden, how do I download VIVALDI browser for android. It is not in google play store I think. Can you give open source link.
2live3 admo. seem to have downed the shutters. It is desolate and bleak here whenever I return . I wonder why they dont reformat it. It is certainly not a social networking site .

Thank you Andy Snaden for answering the KNOCK. You don’t seem particularly affected by the weather and may be living in the Gulf Stream side area. I have a g+ friend in flintshire and he tells me that the real cold is in north east Britain and that the Gulf stream does make a difference in Flint shire.
Here in north India too the temperature is…[Read more]

Thanks.
It is all quiet here these days.
Andy Snaden must be facing the freezing cold of U.K. I hope he is okay.
This site needs a bit of redesigning I feel. It is not finding any traffic.
Good luck and God bless. -

“THE TIMELESS QUESTION”
The WHY that bothers all thinking men and women is : Why does life exist? Why is one born ?
Outside my wide window in the east there is a flower bed of red roses. In the wee hour of dawn, as another day begins in that endless cycles of dawns and dusks, I often keep looking reflectively at this flower bed – the buds that…[Read more]

CHILDHOOD CHATTER, NAINITAL NATTER
The weather at Kathgodam was very oppresive when the driver of the bus heaved himself up on the seat behind the steering wheel and set the bus on a twentytwo mile journey to Nainital. In the month of may even the morning hours are insipid.
We climbed up from the burning planes to an altitude of over six…[Read more]

I am computer illiterate in a way. And use of a smartphone instead of a laptop further complicates the matter. I noticed Andy Snadens following remarks today ( did I miss it earlier ?) :
“It is an amazing story. When I saw it I thought of another railway very different from the express line. There was a series on BBC TV about the Indian Hill…[Read more]

IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT
The train had already started moving when we entered platform number one at Gorakhpur railway station. We had to run after the moving train to enter a compartment at the tail end of the movingĀ Allahabad express. It was a near miss !! Lucky that it was a steam engine that picks up speed slowly.
We took possession of two…[Read more]

SYMPHONY OF TRAINS
I have always had a great fascination for trains. I have always had a great fascination for uncrowded railway stations platforms of small towns.. I have always had a great fascination for those earlier-era station masters of small stations who stood at attention, dressed in a black uniform, and kept waving a green flag as a…[Read more]
